Chapter 17

On p.122, Mr.Ross says, " 'Injustice is the weapon of evil men. But there are always brave and noble souls who proceed on the course of right and are impervious to the consequences. I feel rewarded for all my efforts, just to free the two of you' ".

What do you think of this quote? What does it mean? Is this quote still true in today's world? Give examples and explain.

  1. The world is full of hatred. Things start small then turn big. Our society started with helping hands, and now it will end with bloodbaths ,murders, killing, wars and hatred. There was racism, slavery, etc in the 1800, but what has changed since then? The fact that we now have planes? The fact that the iPhone 4s has come out? yes technology has advanced, in many ways indeed, but what has advanced in our society? Our community? Our country? Our world? No one can stop any of this, except the people who started it. All of us are involved, every grudge we hold against a person, ever lint of hatred we show a person, ever spec or racism in the world, poverty everywhere, is because of us. Everyone is rewarded for their efforts, some just stop their efforts...Some stop, everyone stops, the way our community started, will not end in the same way.
